What’s Love Got To Do With It?

It is funny to me how much I learn during times of challenge.

Not the “Haha” funny, but more the hysterical but annoying fact that I can get all twisted up over things that seem dire in the moment but so often turn out to be a great gift.

I recently upgraded my business training course and program.

This, in itself, is not a challenge. I love creating learning steps, telling stories, giving examples, and all that goes into making learning easy and effective for my peeps.

It is creative work that has an impact on others, which makes it very fun for me.

The challenge comes in the minutiae. Like when I realized that, in order to really upgrade my course, I was going to have to read through ALL the worksheets and watch ALL 46 videos of myself!

The challenge increased when I realized I was also going to have to change my basic message to align with where I am now in my business and life.

Again, the actual writing is fun, but getting to the heart of what I want to say and then actually doing the work of replacing old messaging is time-consuming!

I was challenged and finding myself a little weary … having thoughts of “Why do I have to do all this stuff? Why can’t I just relax and enjoy my life? Why am I in this darn business anyway?”

I actually allowed myself to imagine my life with big empty spaces of time and all the fun things I would do.

I imagined this for a while, and it was fun. But somewhere in the imagining, I had another feeling.

Love.

I love my work. I love the people I work with. I love those I get to support and the people who support me. I love the deep and meaningful conversations that happen on my group coaching calls.

The transformation that happens when I lead a Co-Active Training Course.

I love the amazing people I connect with on my podcast, people like Gail Barker, who is one of my Co-Active Training Colleagues and full of wisdom and wit.

A woman who also loves what she does.

I love working with people who love what they do, care about helping others, and also want to enjoy themselves and their life to the fullest.

What love has to do with this message is that when I love something or somebody, I am willing to go through the challenges that are bound to come.

I am willing to do something that takes SO much time! I am even willing to listen to 46 friggin’ videos of myself!

I am grateful to have work I love. I am grateful for you, the person reading this message too.

I know that you, too, care about spreading love in your own special way.

Love,
Kat
