Your Harvest Season Is On The Way!

I have a lot of fond memories of Harvest Time from my years of being in a fruit-growing family. 

Fruit trees take years and years of growing from little seedlings to bearing fruit that is ready to harvest. 

Much like a coaching business. 

I remember there were years in the beginning when we had to invest a lot of money and time into planting those trees. To make choices on which types would be most desired in the marketplace. 

To keep investing in the nurturing of those trees, knowing it could be up to 10 years before some of those trees pay off. 

We had kids to feed and mortgages to pay in the meantime! 

The one thing that kept me going during those early years was the vision of a full-blown fruit business. 

Then there was pure joy (and relief) when harvest time finally came. The time when we harvested that fruit and earned enough from those wonderful peaches, pears and apples to pay the bills and be able to enjoy some of the finer things in life. 

It is much the same for me and the coaches I work with — harvest time, those wonderful days of sustainable success that were once just an idea on your vision board. 

Here are my tips on how to prepare and what to expect when harvest time arrives. 

One activity that I write about in my book, Evolve Your Coaching Business, is called “Act as If.” It is a manifesting exercise where you use your imagination and instead of yearning, wanting, waiting for the future event you seek, you act as if it has already happened. 

How would you dress? What kind of thoughts would you have? What action would you take IF you already had the clients, contracts, money, or prestige? 

It is a powerful exercise that helps get through the time before harvest. 

The other tip I have is to be prepared. If you believe you will create the success you seek, what would need to be in place to “bring in the harvest”? What types of systems or materials would you need? 

Now is the time to get them in place. 

Last but not least. The most important preparation is YOU. Harvesting the results you have been seeking sounds like fun, but in reality, it often requires you to be bold, take chances, and be vulnerable as you step into the unknown. 

Like harvesting crops, it can also require you to be in action in an intense way. You may need to act fast, make that call, respond to that email, put that presentation together by the end of the week. 

I do believe that if you really want something and it rings true in your heart, you can make it happen!
