The Key to Success Might Surprise You

With a business called Soul Driven Success, you are safe in assuming I love success. It’s a high old happy concept for me.

Off the cuff, I would say that success is when you aim for something you really really want, something that rings a bell in your heart … and you make it happen.

You have that deeply embodied feeling that says, “I’ve made it.”

“What’s the key?” You may be wondering.

It’s not complicated … but it can be as elusive as all get out.

That alone is often a process to discover. There are so many messages you receive that knock you off track of what YOU really want.

Often, what you want is not something others understand. It’s often not the popular choice. Sometimes it seems WAY too big. Other times, it might seem petty or superficial.

This is why coaching is so powerful. Coaches help people discover what they truly want.

Part two of this equation … let’s call it “the subkey”… is about making that desire real. To aim for success and stay on track until it happens.

This is where all the challenges arise: the inner and outer blocks, the timing seems all wrong, the form it takes is usually different than imagined.

This is where the joy is. Why I love success. It’s always an adventure. A journey into the unknown guided by your heart’s desire.

Drop me a line, I would love to know.

One of the easiest ways I know to gain clarity on what I want is to do some research. Here’s your research assignment:

  • What are the successes you’ve had – the ones that made you giddy with joy?
  • What was happening?
  • What was the experience like for you?
  • What made it a success?
  • What strengths do you most enjoy using?
  • What is one thing you do that is always easy?
  • What can you always count on in yourself?
  • What is a way of being that helps you stay connected to your heart and soul?

Imagine it is a year from now. You have succeeded. Change the questions just a little bit.

  • What is the success you are experiencing?
  • What happened this year that made you giddy with joy?
  • What experience did you love the most?
  • What made it a success for you?
  • What strengths did you use?
  • What was easy?
  • What challenge are you most proud of having overcome?
  • Who did you become that led to this success?

Notice the experience you have as you ask and answer these questions.
