One of the core elements I teach in my business development program is how to use your life story to inspire others.
These life stories could be the inspiration that leads to a sale, or they could impact someone in ways you may never know.
Everyone has a life story that is inspiring. These are the moments in your life where a major breakdown led to a breakthrough, a challenge you overcame, or an epiphany that changed the course of your life.
I’ve had many such moments, and I’ve found that when I’m vulnerable enough to share them along with the lessons I’ve learned, it helps others.
One of these moments was when I was kidnapped at the age of 17 and held at gunpoint. The lessons from that horrific experience have influenced many of the choices I’ve made in my life.
I share this story in my latest podcast for a reason: to inspire you to share your story.
I often hear from my clients that writing and sharing their stories is one of the hardest things they do in my program. However, it’s also the most impactful for their business success.
Something powerful happens when we open up and share our truth. It connects with the hearts and minds of others. These stories are healing both to tell and to hear.
Today, I encourage you to reflect on your biggest challenges, your most embarrassing moments, or, like me, a traumatic experience that you learned from.
Choose one and write it today!
Then, share it with those you most want to help—those you want to inspire to connect with you and learn more about you and your business.
And don’t forget to include me when you do!
