where do you find your ground?

These are trying times wouldn’t you say?

There are moments when it seems to me that the whole world has gone topsy turvy. Yet, at the same time in other ways, life continues as usual.

Though perhaps not to the degree that I am experiencing lately, in some ways I think life is always like this.

There is a paradox we live with.

Things are always changing, moving, being rearranged.

Things continue as they always have.

There is love, upset, danger, injustice, beauty, and light all at the same time.

With all that is happening on our planet right now that might feel out of my control…..and, truth be told, I really don’t like being out of control!

I find there is one thing that I can do.
I can find my ground.

Where do you go to find your ground?

… that solid ground that we all have access to, no matter what the circumstances may be.

I think we all need to do this now more than ever.

Before making a judgment, taking an action, claiming a perspective on things, I encourage you to find your ground.

Here are four ways that I find my ground.

  1. I take a walk in nature with no agenda and take in the beauty.
  2. I write in my journal whatever is floating in my mind to see what is true.
  3. I read something inspirational that reconnects me to my heart.
  4. I have an open-hearted conversation with someone I trust.

What are the ways you find ground during difficult times and ordinary times?

I wrote this next line in a message a couple of months ago and it seems right to repeat it.

“I imagine that for you in these challenging times, there are real-life considerations to deal with, distractions, fear, and even panic.”
I don’t mean to minimize the pain in the world. AND

I have found that, no matter what is happening to me or around me, it is essential for me to find my ground.

If I find my ground first, I can respond in a way that is loving of myself and others.

Today I offer you this simple concept and I invite you to explore what gives you that solid ground.

May you find your ground for the sake of your well being… and for the sake of those with whom you share this planet.

Blessings to you all, Kat
