When I first trained as a professional coach, I knew I had many of the needed skills, passion and a lot of personal growth training which would be helpful.
What was a surprise to me was just how much training I actually needed in order to be a good coach.
This is a bit of a paradox, as coaching can seem like a well-organized conversation that wouldn’t be that hard to learn how to facilitate.
It could seem like the easiest job and one that would be a breeze to do day in and day out.
There is an aspect of coaching that does come naturally to many coaches. We just love the coaching conversation that gets at real stuff and helps people do things they used to only dream of.
However, to do that, it actually takes a lot of training, practice, and a lot of things.
It takes most coaches a couple of years to really be masterful as a coach, and that is if they are coaching regularly.
This actually makes me happy because this is what makes hiring a great coach so valuable. We know how to get at those dreams inside people, help them to find motivation, and be accountable to taking the steps to make that dream a reality.
My business is helping coaches succeed in their business. To bring their passion together with proven business strategies.
I also lead the core curriculum coach training courses and certification program for the Co-Active Training Institute. I have been training coaches for over 15 years, so I am very knowledgeable about what it takes to be a good coach and how to become a great coach.
My pursuit of excellence as a professional coach is pretty simple. At the risk of sounding like a Miss America Beauty Contestant.
I want to make the world a better place.
The better coach I am, the more I can help people. The more I can help people the better off they and those they are in relationships are. The better the world.
So I am launching a new course to help trained coaches hone their skills, create better structure for their sessions, have successful consultations that showcase their skills and make the sales.
This course is not a replacement for coach training,
It is meant to be an added support for those coaches who want to succeed in their coaching career by learning some of the things not included in most coach training programs.
I am kicking this new course off with a sample workshop and follow up 21-Day Challenge to help those who want to take their coaching and their coaching business to the next level implement what they have learned.
To make this workshop even more valuable there will be a Q and A with one of the top Virtual Assistants for coaches and consultants.
Workshop attendees will learn how to structure their “free sessions” in a way that brings value to the person who is seeking guidance AND leads to a sale.
Their will be a segment focused on what builds confidence in your coaching.
My special guest will answer quesgtions and offer insight on what helps great coaches run their business so they can focus on what they do best.
I hope to see you there!
