We all need hope. Especially during times like these, when there is so much destruction and chaos in our world.
I have been thinking about this a lot lately as I myself deal with how I want to address what is going on in our world. It can seem like marketing my business is in some way bypassing very important issues.
What I know is helpful in these times, maybe more than ever, is to share our authentic stories. The stories of our own journey through challenges, achieving dreams, and healing from traumas.
We learn by hearing each other’s stories. We heal when we hear stories of others who have had similar experiences, the ones that have caused us shame. I am not alone!
We grow when we hear stories of people addressing really hard things and finding a way to higher ground and service.
When marketing a coaching business, there is a sweet spot between letting people know how you can help them with your coaching services AND helping them with a message of hope.
One of the marketing stories I use to teach the coaches in my business academy occurred 50 years ago.
On the surface, this story would seem to be dark and very personal. Not really connected to my business in any way.
Yet even though the experience was traumatic and violent, it is a true experience that changed my life in a very positive way.
At the heart of that story is this:
I can honestly say I found a deep inner strength and connection to spirit with a gun at my head.
The whole story is in my book, which you can download for free here.
My hope is that my story will inspire you to tell your own.
What is an experience that you can share that reveals a truth that others can learn, hear, and grow from?
This is what I love about marketing my coaching business and what the world needs now more than ever!
